A villa in Grey Lynn was in need of an improved and nicer looking entrance and staircase

The clients decided that they wanted the underneath area enclosed to give them a little more storage space. the original stairs were too narrow and the handrail was just not right with the rest of the house.

Original open area, the backs of the narrow stairs are seen
Out of keeping handrail and balustrades
Rebuild the staircase first
Put in risers
Then enclosed the area with weatherboards and made it water tight
Build a basement door
